To tea or not to tea
Your bridesmaids have a responsibility to – and, hopefully they will want to! - help you with wedding preparations and organise your Kitchen Tea, Bridal Shower or Girls’ Night.

All about bridesmaids
When it comes to choosing bridesmaids, it’s a minefield. Mine was only made more complicated by the fact that I have been a bridesmaid 8 times and counting (it’s 9 in April) and unless you want your bridal party looking like a line-up in the photos; you cannot do the return ask.

An Adelaide Wedding
After much fun, more food than is necessary for one person and perhaps a few too many champagnes, 2009 wrapped for me with two weddings in two states, bringing my annual wedding tally to four. (My wedding calendar is blank for 2010 but it’s early days!)

Getting engaged…
Thought I should outline briefly the time until now. My fiancé and I, Paul met a few years ago at church. I thought he was very cute but he seemed to only talk about football, which led me to the completely judgemental and unfounded belief that he was a ‘thick-necked football player’ and not much else. He, for his part, apparently thought I was pretty, but I was a bookworm that talked too much. Regardless of shallow first impressions, we became friends and soon saw a lot more in each other.

Four weddings and a family Christmas

To quote the Skyhooks, ‘all my friends are getting married!’ – and by the time the clock strikes midnight and we roll into 2010, I will have been the guest at four weddings in the year just gone.
